A Mad Few Weeks at Elite Competitions
Come behind the scenes of some recent updates and exciting moments Elite Competitions have been through over the last few weeks.
Our Founder and Managing Director, Alex, recently shared in a candid Facebook post, that it’s been a rollercoaster of a few weeks here at Elite. From welcoming new team members to planning a new office move for our team, there’s been a lot going on. And we want to update you!
Running a business, especially a competition company, is often a balancing act between exciting growth and inevitable, daily challenges. In this blog, we will dive into a few of the exciting things that have happened.
Welcoming New Faces to the Elite Team
First things first, we've proudly announced the addition of two new staff members to the Elite HQ. They will be joining us in the coming weeks and we can't wait to introduce them to you and how they will benefit our business. This might sound like just another day at the office, but in our world, where the business is ever-changing and evolving, every new hire is a milestone. Bringing our total in-house team to 16, there are experts behind every decision we make at Elite.
For more information on our team and who we all are, please see our "About Us" section of the website!
Outgrowing the Office: Time to Move!
With new hires comes another inevitable consequence: lack of space. Our current office is officially bursting at the seams and we’re quickly outgrowing the space we moved into only a few years ago. This is a good thing!
Plans are already in motion for a big move to accommodate our growing team and we will (if all goes to plan) be moving into this new space later this year. While this may seem trivial to our players, a bigger office means a fresh start, which means new and creative ideas for our competitions. This, in turn, means better content, which means our prizes will look a hell of a lot better. Essentially, things are going to look even more premium for you all very soon!
Outgrowing our office space is, however, a"good problem" to have. It’s a sign that our business is growing and, for those who have been following us for some time, you will know how much this means. From starting a business in 2016, not fully knowing how it would grow, to having 16 staff and over 525,000 winners, Elite Competitions has come an incredibly long way. Whether you're new to our competitions or you've been following us for years, we're so grateful to have you along for the journey!
Keep an eye out to see what exciting things are round the corner when our big move happens!
Lights, Camera, Action: Filming a New TV Advert
As if hiring new staff and planning a move wasn’t enough, we’ve also found time to get ourselves back onto TV.
For those of you who don’t know, we started our journey by being on Dragons’ Den. Alex took to the hit BBC show to pitch the idea for Elite Competitions, which you can watch for yourself on YouTube here.
Earlier this year, Elite returned to TV screens in the form of our FIRST large-scale television production: a TV advert. This was a roaring success and we were incredibly pleased with the final result. Let us know if you saw it while watching TV!
However, a new advert must be made as the business continues to grow and evolve. This is still a new thing for us, so we're learning as we go. However, our Content Creator Luke, Graphic Designer Becca, and Managing Director Alex have been working hard to create a new TV advert for our luxury Lancashire Lodge.
The ad is set to go live at the end of August 2024, for a period of four days across Granada. Being a Blackpool-based company, we constantly want to spread the word on our business and we can do this by targeting local players and people in Lancashire.
Looking Ahead
As Summer 2024 is seemingly nearly over, we have a lot to look forward to for the rest of the year. From two new staff members, a full-scale office move in the works and our CEO starring in a TV advert, there’s a lot to be excited about. As always, stay tuned on this blog section of our website and our social media - there are bound to be more exciting updates just around the corner!
